Founder of K and Ns

K&n’s is one of the significant poultry and frozen food companies in Pakistan. The company was founded by Khalil Sattar, a college student, and his wife Naushaba Khalil (hence the name K&N’s) in 1964. It is now run by Sattar’s son, Adil K. Sattar.  Khalil started K&N’s with the single objective “to provide better nutrition for the health and happiness of the nation”. It was a company based in Karachi and now serves across Pakistan.

For quality and food safety, K&N operates all poultry production activities under one chain.             

Grandparent and Parent Breeding

A breeder farmhouse takes care of all breeding stock. Almost all breeder farms focus on the principle of all- in-all-out, which prevents multiple ages in any breeding facility. Environment-controlled houses are used to house breeding stock. K&N’s has achieved world-class performances. Toutes farms take rigorous biosecurity measures to prevent disease transmission through mechanical or physical means. Keeping the breeding flock healthy and uniform by providing vaccinations, weight assessment, and selection is essential.

Hatching

Breeder farms cool hatching eggs inside air-conditioned, humidified egg rooms and pack and transport them via sanitized, climate-controlled hatcheries owned by private companies.

Broiler Growing

We grow broilers in modern broiler farms equipped with clean, temperature-controlled trucks. A drinking straw releases one sip of water at a time, avoiding contamination of the water. They eat at will and drink fresh, calm, and pure water. As a result of our watchful eye on nutrition and health, their natural surroundings include fully automated heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.

The Diet of K&N’s chickens is composed of natural grain products, and oilseed meals accompanied by multivitamins, and minerals. We always test our ingredients and reject them as a quality assurance measure if they do not meet the highest standards.

Feed Milling

Natural grains products, oilseed meals, and multivitamins and minerals comprise K&N’s chickens’ diet of well-balanced vegetarianism. Our Quality Assurance Lab tests ingredients every day to ensure they remain wholesome and rejects those that do not meet our highest standards. K&N also supplies feed to growers and customers of day-old chicks to increase the profit potential of our chickens. 

Poultry Processing

As part of the slaughtering process, halal slaughter uses hygiene and automation. While they are being processed, veterinarians constantly inspect the birds for health. When processing birds, the insides are rinsed. A complete sanitization is performed every evening. Cleaning is continuous. A thorough inspection of the plant each day precedes the start of operations.

All chickens must undergo veterinary inspections to maintain their health. Throughout the processing line, random samples are taken for laboratory testing in order to maintain quality, hygiene, and food safety. Depending on the type of chicken, some products are prepared to ship whole, while others are packaged as bone-in cuts or boneless products. Our Food Service bulk packaging is designed to meet the specific needs of institutions, hotels, restaurants, and international restaurant chains. In addition to individually weighing the retail products, K&N packages them in K&N- branded packaging.

How Does K&N’s product Stay Fresh?

Products are then blast frozen at a low temperature of -30 °C to ensure product freshness, taste, and food safety. Food preservation prevents the food from being spoiled as well as it also increases the safe storage period of foodstuffs.
